Hengdian World Studios

Hengdian World Studios is located in Dongyang City, central Zhejiang Province. It is 180 kilometers away from Hangzhou and 95 kilometers away from Jinhua. It is adjacent to Yiwu City, the home of China's small commodity market. It is currently the world's largest film and television shooting base and is known as "China's Hollywood". Most of China's ancient costume films and TV series are shot here, such as the well-known "Hero", "The Emperor's New Clothes", "Palace" and "Step into the Past". Here, you can encounter film crews and stars everywhere. Even in the streets and alleys or in a restaurant at a street corner, people are talking about filming or reciting scripts. Hengdian World Studios is not actually a city but a town, consisting of more than ten large and small scenic spots distributed both inside and outside Hengdian Town. These scenic spots are collectively known as Hengdian World Studios. Currently, there are nine open scenic spots, which are located in two areas: the south and the north of the town. The southern scenic spots mainly include the Qingming Shanghe Tu Scenic Area built based on the famous painting "Qingming Shanghe Tu", the magnificent and spectacular Qinwang Palace, the Ming and Qing Folk House Expo City, the Dazhi Chan Temple, and the large amusement park Dream Valley suitable for night visits. The northern scenic spots mainly include the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street Scenic Area, which recreates the old appearance of Guangzhou and the charm of Hong Kong from 1840 to the early 20th century, the Ming and Qing Palace Garden, which is claimed to be a 1:1 replica of the Forbidden City, and the Pingyandongfu and Huaxia Culture Park.
